Local district, statewide, and Matanuska-Susitna Borough election results
Because elections are not yet certified, these results remain unofficial and subject to change.
Unofficial election results are in for the local district, statewide, and Matanuska-Susitna Borough races. These are the reported results as of 11 am this morning.
All 12 precincts were reported for the House District 30 race. Republican Kevin McCabe leads with 38.5% of the vote. Republican Doug Massie has 36% of the vote. And Democrat Sandra Loomis follows with 25.5% of the vote.
All 24 precincts were reported for the Senate District O race. Republican George Rauscher leads with 43.1% of the vote. Republican Ryan Sheldon has 30.8% of the vote. And Democrat Peter Bauer has 26% of the vote.
Over 35,000 votes for the Matanuska-Susitna Borough elections have been counted, with about 36% voter turnout. As absentee votes come in, this could continue to rise.
A borough ballot proposition to change school board terms leads narrowly. Three borough ballot propositions trail behind. These propositions are: Borough Ballot Proposition B, which establishes an alcohol sales tax; Borough Ballot Proposition C, which partially exempts owner-occupied residential properties, offset by an area-wide sales tax; and Borough Ballot Proposition D, which expands the Borough's road service powers.
Because elections are not yet certified, these results remain unofficial and subject to change.
