Some road work in the Caswell Lakes area has begun, which will include major repairs and work on a fish passage. The Borough contractor will begin with moving some mailboxes along Caswell Lakes Road and doing some ditch work.
According to Caswell Lakes Road Service Area Chair DJ McBride, Hidden Hills Road will be closed to traffic for the duration of the construction once it begins. Work will start at the top of the hill and address the seep and reroute the water under the road. The construction on Hidden Hills Road will span from the Parks Highway to the Y. Caswell Lakes Road will have lane closures, but traffic will still be permitted to pass.
McBride also says there is a very short window to install the fish passage. The contractor expects that to happen within a two-week window. She says they expect to have all road work completed by the end of summer.
