Trails have long been used for transportation, recreation and access to remote areas of the Mat Su Borough for a long time. With projections for growth in the valley indicate that many of the historic trails that have long been used by mushers, skiers and snowmachines may be at risk of disappearing due to development, and in some cases, they already have. One group has undertaken the goal of making the trails within and between Valley communities a permanent feature of the landscape. KTNA’s Lorien Nettleton has more:
