aired Wed -Base rates for Matanuska Electric Association customers may rise again in the second quarter of this year.
If the rate increase is approved by the Regulatory Commission, customers will see a base rate increase of almost 2%. A typical customer, who uses just under 800 kilowatt hours of electricity per month, will see a $1.54 increase.
The Board of Directors voted on February 14th to authorize the rate increase effective the first week of April. Customers saw a rate increase last July when a 2.47 % increase was approved.
