On Wednesday, July 3rd, a minor earthquake was measured twenty-two miles east of Talkeetna, according to the Alaska Earthquake Information Center. The earthquake was measured at a 3.8 on the Richter Scale, and occurred at a depth of thirty-one miles.
The earthquake was felt in Talkeetna and as far away as Eagle River. No damage was reported as a result.
