Minor earthquakes shake Upper Valley Monday and Tuesday morning

Many in the Upper Valley received early wake-up calls on Monday and Tuesday.  The Alaska Earthquake Information Center recorded a magnitude 3.6 earthquake thirty-six miles north-northeast of Talkeetna at 4:30

Many in the Upper Valley received early wake-up calls on Monday and Tuesday.  The Alaska Earthquake Information Center recorded a magnitude 3.6 earthquake thirty-six miles north-northeast of Talkeetna at 4:30 on Monday at a depth of 45 miles.

On Tuesday, two more earthquakes were recorded.  The first occurred at 5:29 am and was measured at magnitude 3.4.  The second, just outside of Willow, was at 5:57, and measured at magnitude 3.9.  AEIC reports that both were felt in Talkeetna.  No damage has been reported from any of the three early-morning quakes.
