An Anchorage man reported missing on Sunday has been found and arrested for warrants related to prior convictions for kidnapping and sexual abuse of a minor.
On Tuesday, Alaska State Troopers reported that 55-year-old Alexander Guest, who was reported missing two days earlier after he did not return from foraging for chaga mushrooms, was contacted at an RV near Mile 86 of the Parks Highway.
Troopers say Guest was using the RV as his residence. He was arrested for probation violations related to earlier convictions. Guest has a history of sexual abuse convictions, beginning in 1997. The probation he is accused of violating stems from a 2003 plea bargain for charges of kidnapping and sexual abuse of a minor.
Guest is being held at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
