Sunshine Community Health Clinic will bring vaccines to the residents of Trapper Creek in October.
On Friday, October 25th, the mobile vaccine clinic will be at the Vitus at Mile 115.5 on the Parks Highway in Trapper Creek from 1 to 6pm.
The clinic will offer Tetanus, Shingles, COVID, RSV, and flu vaccines.
While the vaccines are not free, the shots will be offered on a sliding fee scale to eligible patients. Insurance is also accepted. Patients should register with Sunshine Community Health Clinic before the event. Walk-ins will be accepted if time allows, staff are available, and patient records are up-to-date.
For those unsure about which vaccines to get, Clinic Community Relations Manager Sierra Smith recommends making an appointment with a health care provider to discuss. Smith says that flu season is here and there has been a recent spike in COVID cases.
Anyone getting vaccinated at the Clinic in Talkeetna or the mobile clinic during October will get a free t-shirt. That’s while supplies last. Call 907-376-2273 to make an appointment.
