The Montana Creek Fire that started on June 29th is 93 percent contained as of 9:45 am Tuesday, July 9th.
Crews and equipment continue to be demobilized from the site as mop-up is completed. Favorable weather conditions have continued to help keep the fire activity minimal and allowed crews to make significant progress.
Seventy-nine personnel remain on the site. Officials remind drivers to continue to use caution and slow down where crews are still active near the Parks Highway between Miles 94 and 100.
This will be the final update unless fire activity increases.
