More cases of swine flu in Mat Su
The Department of Health and Social Services has announced 13 new cases of the H1-N1 flu in Anchorage and the Mat Su Borough area.
The Department of Health and Social Services has announced 13 new cases of the H1-N1 flu in Anchorage and the Mat Su Borough area.
There are now 36 confirmed cases statewide. There have been 11 cases reported in the southeast and 11 in the interior, with one reported on the Gulf of Alaska coast.
Alaska had its first reported case on May 28th. The Mat Su Borough reported its first case June 10th.
State officials continue to advise people to avoid going to work if they are ill, washing hands well, avoid coughing into hands and getting tested if sick.
