The trial of Jeremy Nelson of Trapper Creek was set for today (friday) and has been rescheduled for August 1st.
Nelson is accused of murdering Trapper Creek resident Robert Carey and is facing a first degree assault charge in the shooting of Carey’s wife Verna.
The event occurred on January 22nd in Trapper Creek outside the Carey home.
Nelson is held at Mat Su Pretrial on $750,000 bail with a third party custodian requirement. The trial is currently scheduled in Judge Greg Heath’s courtroom August 1st.
