A Cessna 120 single-engine plane took off from the Talkeetna airport after 2 p.m. on Sunday. The pilot lost power shortly after takeoff and was able to steer the plane back to the airport.

The pilot landed the plane in the snow adjacent to the runway. Upon landing, the plane flipped on its nose and settled on its roof.

The pilot was the sole occupant of the plane and reported no injuries to Wildlife Troopers. Reports show that the aircraft sustained minor damage and was able to be towed away.
