Choose-Your-Ending Story Ski Night – Talkeetna Elementary School
Talkeetna Elementary SchoolTalkeetna Elementary School hosts a Choose-Your-Ending Story Ski Night on Thursday, April 3rd, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. This Title 1 Event takes place along Talkeetna Elementary School's on-site ski trails, featuring an interactive, choose your own adventure, story. After your ski, you can warm up by a campfire. There will be hot dogs, tater tots, s’mores, and hot cocoa. Ski gear is available for students on a first-come, first-serve basis. All are welcome. Talkeetna Elementary School seeking volunteers – Discovery Day Activities
Talkeetna Elementary SchoolTalkeetna Elementary School is seeking volunteers for their upcoming Discovery Day activities for students on May 19th, 20th, and 21st. Each activity will run for about two hours and serve a small group of students. They are looking for volunteers to lead or assist with activities like sewing, geocaching, tie-dyeing, and bead making. If you have a different hobby, skill, or passion you’d like to share, they are open to more ideas. Interested volunteers may contact Charity Moore at charity.moore@matsuk12.us.
Annual Kindergarten Meet and Greet – Talkeetna Elementary School
Talkeetna Elementary SchoolTalkeetna Elementary School hosts the Annual Kindergarten Meet and Greet for all prospective students and their parents on Wednesday, May 7th from 10:15 until 11:00am, in the Kindergarten Classroom #135. The Meet and Greet is for students entering Kindergarten for the 2025/2026 school year. Students must be turning 5 years old on or before September 1st, 2025. Talkeetna Elementary SchoolTalkeetna Elementary School is hosting the Annual Halloween & Harvest Carnival on Friday, October 31st, from 3:15 to 5:00 PM in the school gym. All are invited to wear costumes and enjoy games and food. Tickets for games and food can be purchased at the event or preordered online at schoolpay.com. All proceeds support the 5th Grade Coastal Ecology Field Trip to Kachemak Bay.
Silent Auction Donations Request
Talkeetna Elementary SchoolTalkeetna Elementary School is seeking donations for its upcoming Silent Auction Fundraiser, all funds help pay for the annual 5th grade K-Bay Field Trip. If you have new or like-new items you'd like to contribute, please drop them off at the school anytime between now and November 21st. Silent Auction Fundraiser – Talkeetna Elementary School
