    Talkeetna Historical Society and Denali Arts Council present Music in the Wild on Tuesday, July 30th beginning at 7:30pm in the Talkeetna Historical Society Gardens. A trio with guitar, viola and clarinet will be performing Michael Dickerson’s Love Songs. All are welcome for this event, bring your own chairs.

  • Talkeetna Jeopardy

    Sheldon Community Arts Hangar

    The Talkeetna Historical Society is hosting the annual Talkeetna Jeopardy game on Thursday, January 30th, at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:00pm. Ticket proceeds support the museum. Team participants are still needed. Please contact the museum at 907-733-2487 or message them on social media if you are interested.

  • Salmon Run Art- Talkeetna Historical Society

    Talkeetna Historical Society has fish templates available to purchase for our 2025 Salmon Run Art Auction. Showcase your artistic abilities and support the Museum by decorating a wooden salmon, to be displayed in the Hangar for the month of July. Salmon must be completed by June 15th.   • Salmon Run Art Auction entries deadline

    Entries for this year’s Salmon Run Art Auction fundraiser benefiting the Talkeetna Historical Society are due at the Museum by Sunday, June 15. These artistic salmon will be on display for on-line auction at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar during the month of July, with a live auction and art show on July 27th, 3-6 p.m. If you have questions, please call the Museum at 907-733-2487.

    The Talkeetna Historical Society hosts their closing event Salmon Run Art Auction at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Sunday, July 27th from 3 to 6pm. Visitors can view all salmon in person that are in the online auction and enjoy some snacks. There will be 4 late-run salmon auctioned off live at the event.  Online bidding is open through July 27th at 5 pm.  Help will be available at the event to participate in the online auction.     The Talkeetna Historical Society is holding its Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 13th, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Talkeetna Roadhouse. Attendees can enjoy soup, bread, and dessert, renew their membership, vote for new board members, and hear about the happenings at the museum this year and next.
