    Talkeetna Public Library is celebrating their 52nd birthday today (Monday March 17th) from 3 to 5 pm. There will be cake and refreshments, all are welcome.

  • Page to Screen – Talkeetna Public Library

    Talkeetna Public Library Talkeetna

    The Talkeetna Public Library hosts Page to Screen on Saturday, March 22nd from 5 to 7pm at the Talkeetna Library. They will be showing the movie adaptation of The Wild Robot by Peter Brown, there will be pizza and snacks. This program is for tweens ages 9 through 12.   • Teen Book to Movie – Talkeetna Public Library

    Talkeetna Public Library's Teen Book to Movie Program meets Saturday, March 29th at 6pm. The book Enola Holmes by Nancy Springer and the movie will be discussed. Teens ages 13-18 are welcome. There will be snacks and pizza. Pick up time is 8pm at the Talkeetna Library. This is the last meeting until the fall.

    Talkeetna Public Library hosts the last Tweens Page to Screen Program on Saturday April 12th from 5pm to 7pm. Tweens ages 9 to 12 watch the movie based on the book, and enjoy pizza and snacks. This month’s selection is Ella Enchanted by Gale Carson Levine.

    Talkeetna Library is looking for some volunteers for the Summer Reading Program. If you have a special skill or craft that you would like to share with the kids in Talkeetna, please give the library a call at 907-861-7645. Most programs take place on Thursdays between 11am and 2pm, with the age groups of 0-6 and 6 to 15.

    Talkeetna Public Library hosts local author Sarah Birdsall on Saturday, April 26th from 4 to 6pm. She will be discussing her newest book, Hill of Dead Horses, a novel set in wilderness of Alaska.     The Talkeetna Public Library is closed for staff training on Wednesday, July 23rd. They are normally open Monday through Saturday from 11am until 6pm. Talkeetna Library's Wi-Fi is always on and available to use.

    Talkeetna Public Library hosts various programs through the fall and winter. Storytime is at 11:15am on Thursdays with a snack, stories and a craft, beginning on August 14th. The theme this week is Off to School with a special prize for all attendees.
