Festival of Trees Open House and Winter Solstice Walk
Willow Public LibraryThe Willow Library Association and Willow Trails Committee host the Festival of Trees Open House and Winter Solstice Walk on Saturday, December 21st from 5 to 7pm, at the Willow Public Library and Willow Lake. Trees have been decorated by local businesses and community members. Coffee, cider and treats will be served.
Mentoring Program – Willow Public Library
Willow Public LibraryThe Willow Public Library Mentoring Program meets each Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30pm. This program is open to all Willow Elementary Students. The mentor and youth meet at the Library and might read to one another, browse for books or do activities like crafts, puzzles, games. Story Time – Willow Public Library
Willow Community CenterThe Willow Library offers Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center every Thursday at 11am through the end of May. Willow Summer Trails challenge
The Willow Summer Trails challenge begins May 16, and ends September 26th. Passports with listed Willow community trail descriptions are available at the Willow Library. Participants will document their hike with selfies. A culminating event to award prizes will be held on September 27th. This event is a partnership between the Willow Trails Committee and the Willow Library. Questions may be addressed to the Library staff at 907-861-7655.
Willow Public Library Annual 5K Fun Walk & Run
Willow Public LibraryThe Willow Public Library 9th Annual 5K Fun Walk & Run is on Saturday, May 24 at 10am, starting in the Library parking lot. Registration forms are available at the Library or you may register starting at 9am on race day. There is a participation fee, and tee shirts are available for participants. Proceeds support Willow Library programs. Questions may be addressed to Library staff at 907-861-7655. This event is sponsored by the Willow Library and Willow Library Association.
Summer Reading Program – Willow Public Library
Willow Public LibraryThe Willow Public Library Summer Reading Program, Level Up at Your Library, is held every Thursday in July. The program is 12:30-1:30 pm with lunch provided from 1:00-1:30 pm. Time to turn in reading records and select books is from 1:30-3:30 pm. All youth up to 18 are invited. Contact the Library at 907-861-7655 if you have questions.
Photo Contest – Willow Public Library
The Willow Public Library invites you to enter your 8" x 10" photos of Alaskan Summer Fun by June 20th. Voting will be from June 26th to July 24th and prizes will be awarded on July 31st. You may call the Willow library at 907-861-7655 with questions.

All are invited to come knit, crochet, embroider, cross stitch, etc. anytime between 10:30am and 1:30pm.

Trunk-or-Treat – Willow Public Library
Willow Public LibraryTrunk-or-Treat will be held in the Willow Public Library parking lot on Halloween, October 31st, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Community members are welcome to park your vehicle, decorate your trunk and pass out treats to youth who arrive to trick-or-treat.
