Palin makes budget cuts

The Palin administration late Wednesday gave legislators a list of changes it wants to make to next year’s capital and operating budgets. Governor Palin originally presented the plan in December, and the amendments are her response to expected low revenue in the fiscal year beginning July 1st.

The new plan reduces state operating expenditures by $334-million dollars in state money from the operating budget.  However,  federal money will replace seventy three million dollars of those cuts.
