Parks highway head on collision results in injuries
Late Saturday night, the Alaska State Troopers Bureau of Highway Patrol responded to a head on collision at mile 56.5 of the Parks Highway, in Houston.
Late Saturday night, the Alaska State Troopers Bureau of Highway Patrol responded to a head on collision at mile 56.5 of the Parks Highway, in Houston. Troopers found that Kasey McGee, 18 years old, from Kenai, was driving northbound on the Parks Highway when he crossed the centerline and struck a pickup truck head on. The pickup was driven by Kaylen Pevan, 18 years old, from Wasilla. Pevan was transported to the Mat Su Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries; the 2 passengers in McGees’ vehicle were also transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Traffic was backed up for some time while emergency vehicles attended to the accident.
Both vehicles are considered a total loss. All occupants reported wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision. The investigation is continuing.
