A seven-car pileup on the Parks Highway temporarily shut down traffic, but resulted in no injuries on Monday.
According to Alaska State Troopers, traffic at Mile 112 of the highway was temporarily stopped due to road construction just south of Trapper Creek. A pickup towing a camper trailer was unable to stop before reaching the slow moving traffic and struck another vehicle from behind. That then caused a chain reaction of collisions up the line of vehicles.
Both lanes of the highway were temporarily closed due to the crash, but no injuries were reported. Troopers say everyone involved in the collision was wearing a seatbelt.
