Person of interest in triple homicide arrested on unrelated charges

The Alaska State Troopers have arrested a person of interest in a triple homicide case in Wasilla.

On Thursday morning, Troopers say 51-year-old Juan Camarena called to arrange a meet up.  Shortly before noon, Troopers met with Camarena at an undisclosed location in Wasilla and took him into custody on a federal warrant unrelated to the triple homicide investigation.

Earlier in the week, Troopers had asked for assistance locating Camarena, saying he was a person of interest in the deaths of Michael Atwood, Donna Marie Campos, and Alyssa Jiminez earlier this month.  Atwood and Campos’s bodies were discovered on November 3^rd.  Two days later, they discovered a third body, which was later identified as Jiminez.
