This week, the road crew in Denali National Park finished plowing the Park Road. Kris Fister, spokeswoman for the Park, says that this is the earliest that plowing on the ninety-two mile long road has been completed this early.
The road is still open to private vehicles to Mile 30 until May 9th. Throughout May, bus tours and shuttles will begin ramping up, with the final stop, Kantishna, opening the second week in June. Kris Fister says that a full schedule of when various bus stops along the Park Road will open will be available next week.
