Anchorage, AK) – The Alaska State Trails Program is pleased to announce the 2011 Recreational Trails Grant Application period is now open. To view the updated application and learn more about our program, please visit our site at www.alaskastatetrails.org. Please be sure to note that the application period closes November 15th, 2010.
On September 15th, 2010 from 3 to 5pm the State Trails Office will be hosting a two hour workshop focusing on the application process. The first hour will provide attendees an overview of the grant program, while the second hour will allow participants to ask DNR staff questions about the grant writing and award process. The workshop will be located in Suite 240 of the Atwood Building in Anchorage. The Atwood building is located at 550 W 7th Ave. If you cannot attend in person, the workshop will be available via teleconference.
The Recreational Trail Grant Program provides reimbursable, matching grant funds for trail easement acquisition, development and maintenance of trails and trail-related facilities. The program also provides funds for safety and educational programs.
