Quakes shake Valley on Saturday

Two separate earthquakes were felt in the Talkeetna region on Saturday, June 18th. At 12:40 pm, the Alaska Earthquake information center measured a tquake at 4.01 magnitude and 14 miles deep. The quake was centered 62 miles Southeast of Talkeetna and 41 miles Northeast of Hatcher Pass.
A few hours later at 5:43 pm, the earthquake center located another quake 24 miles west of Talkeetna and 26 miles northeast of Skwentna. The quake had a magnitude of 3.32 and was measured at a depth of 33 miles.
No reports of damage were received from either quake.
