Rams off to a strong start at state volleyball tournament

The Su Valley Rams Volleyball team is of to a winning start at the state tournament in Anchorage. The Rams won their first match against Chief Ivan Blanka three sets to none on Thursday morning. They went on to defeat Klawock in the next round three sets to one, advancing them to the winner’s bracket finals.
Su Valley’s next match will be tonight at 6:15 against Tri-Valley. The Rams have faced Tri-Valley three times already this season and have a record against them of two wins and a close loss. If the Rams win their next match they will advance to the state finals. If Tri-Valley wins, then Su Valley will move to the lower bracket and still have a chance to make the finals.
The tournament is taking place at Dimond High School in Anchorage, and a live web stream is available for a fee from the National Federation of High School Athletic Associations Network.
