Recycling Center won't open this week

The Valley Center for Recycling Solutions has had a slight setback and is not opening their new recycling building this week as originally scheduled.

Executive Director Mollie Boyer has apologized and says there is a possibility they will be able to move forward next week.  She is working on an equipment problem that also includes the glass crusher and key pieces for the building.

She says the glitch is being worked out among the partners in the building, which includes the Mat Su Borough.

An announcement will be made when the building opening is set.

The new center for recycling will be located next to Mat Su Borough Solid Waste in Wasilla.
