A local musher and Talkeetna resident has apparently gone missing from the Talkeetna area. Melanie Gould, an 7-time Iditarod musher, didn’t show up for work and was not at home Tuesday. Her vehicle is gone but she left her entire team of sled dogs. Even though its possible she drove off, residents are worried that something disastrous might have happened…

*this story originally said she wasn’t at work Monday – She was at work all day Monday. She was missing Tuesday. The last confirmed sighting of Gould was Tuesday in the Talkeetna area (according to Trooper spokesperson Ipsen).
