Deborah Sue Akers is Superintendent of Mercer County Schools in Princeton West Virginia. Kenneth Stephen Burnley is a senior resident fellow at the University of Michigan and a former superintendent at Fairbanks North Star Borough. Deena Paramo is currently a district assistant superintendent in the Mat Su School District. Carolyn Ross is the superintendent of Churchill County school district in Fallon, Nevada. Gregory Strong is a businessman developing parks and subdivisions. He has been associate superintendent of the Fairbanks North Star Borough, South Bend Indiana Community School corporation as well as borough manager of Fairbanks North Star Borough.
Superintendent George Troxel is retiring at the end of this school year. Catherine Esray, School District spokesperson says a decision on his replacement is expected this coming Saturday in a special executive session of the school board. She says residents will be allowed to speak on the one agenda item that day if they wish.
A decision on Principal Rob Picou’s replacement is expected before the end of the school year. Esray did not have a list of candidates available.
