Skwentna vandals arraigned in Superior Court
Two fugitives from the Lower 48 were arraigned on charges of multiple thefts, criminal misdemeanors and burglary in Superior Court in Palmer.
Two fugitives from the Lower 48 were arraigned on charges of multiple thefts, criminal misdemeanors and burglary in Superior Court in Palmer.Jeff Indellicati of New Jersey and Ben Cross of Florida allegedly broke into 25 cabins near Skwentna, vandalized them and stole a four-wheeler, firearms and ammunition.
Local trooper Terrence Shanigan and trooper Sergeant Mark Agnew responded to the Fish Lakes Creek area on April 30. The suspects refused to surrender and hid in a cabin. After a one-hour standoff, the suspects broke and came out the cabin with raised hands. Trooper Shanigan said they were under the impression that they were surrounded by troopers. They were transported to Mat Su Pretrial and arraigned in Palmer District Court. They also face fugitive-from-justice charges as they are wanted men in New Jersey and Florida.
Their jury trials are set for July 26.
