A single vehicle crash in Talkeetna left two people injured over the weekend.
According to the Alaska State Troopers, 23-year-old Logan Nichols was driving near Mile 11 of the Talkeetna Spur Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The SUV flipped and ended up in the ditch.
An unidentified passenger was ejected from the vehicle, and sustained serious injuries, according to troopers. The passenger was flown from the scene by LifeMed. Nichols was transported by ambulance for his injuries.
Troopers say alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, and that neither Nichols nor his passenger were wearing seatbelts.
