The Alaska Division of Forestry has suspended all burn permits in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.  State officials cite dry conditions and strained firefighting resources as reasons for the suspension.

While most burning is prohibited under the suspension, small cooking and campfires are allowed.

Current burn permit status is available from the Alaska Division of Forestry.
