Su-Valley Cross Country Runners Qualify for State
Three Susitna-Valley High School cross country runners have qualified for the State Meet. Senior, Calla Fish, took second place at the Women’s Region 2 Meet, held in Glennallen last weekend.
Three Susitna-Valley High School cross country runners have qualified for the State Meet. Senior, Calla Fish, took second place at the Women’s Region 2 Meet, held in Glennallen last weekend.
Fish finished the challenging 5,000 meter course in 23 minutes, 25 seconds. Junior, Lillian Stewart, placed 5th and also qualified for the State Meet.
Junior, Eli Redmond, finished 6th in the Men’s Region-2 Meet. He ran the course in 21 minutes and 2 seconds. Senior, Kristopher Abalama crossed the finish line with a time of 27 minutes thirty-six seconds.
Fish, Stewart and Redmond will compete next weekend at the State Cross-Country Meet. Both the Mens and Womens State Meet will be held October 4th at Palmer High School.
