This week on Su Valley Voice, host Phillip Manning was joined by Margaret Stern of Susitna River Coalition, journalist Katie Writer, Israel Mahay of Mahay’s Jetboat Adventures, and Casey Cook, Emergency Manager for the Mat-Su Borough to discuss the Susitna watershed.
The rivers of the Upper Susitna Valley have been an integral part of life here for centuries. Part of living with those rivers is watching them change over the years. Talkeetna in particular has seen multiple high water events in recent years as well as significant erosion on both public and private land.
