Sunshine Community Health Center Hires a new Medical Director

The Sunshine Community Health Center has named Dr. Paul Forman as its new Chief Medical Officer.  Dr. Forman is a Family Medicine Specialist.  He graduated from Indiana School of Medicine in 1993 and hails most recently from Solstice Family Care in Wasilla.

In recent weeks, the Sunshine Community Health Center has experienced internal turmoil.  Last month, the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization terminated its CEO, Melody West, and placed its Medical Director, Dr. George Hightower, on leave.

Dr. Hightower subsequently resigned, leaving the clinic without a Medical Director or a Chief Executive Officer.

Board Member Randall Kowalke, stepped into the role of Interim CEO.  He and the Board began the search for a new Medical Director.

Dr. Forman transitioned as a medical provider from Solstice Family Practice to Sunshine Community Health Center when the two entities merged in November 2020.  

Sunshine Community Health Center is looking forward to the transition, saying, “We are excited to have Dr. Forman join our executive team!”
