The Susitna Community Council has received three new nominations for seats on the Council. Mark Stahl, Gary Peters and Trevor Walters have all nominated themselves for regular 2-year terms on the board, and Justin Coles and Bill Stearns will stay on as alternates for one more year. The Council will hold a candidates forum at their October meeting, and the elections take place in November.
There are several committees that the council is looking to populate with interested citizens. The Trails committee has received funding from the borough for winter trail maintenance, and the Revenue Sharing committee is looking for members to help disperse grants for projects that benefit the community.
