Talkeetna resident dies of natural causes
Long time Talkeetna resident Rick Scheisl — fondly known as Fairview Rick — died yesterday at Mat-Su Regional of natural causes.
Long time Talkeetna resident Rick Scheisl — fondly known as Fairview Rick — died yesterday at Mat-Su Regional of natural causes.A friend found him semi-conscious at home on Sunday and called the ambulance. Scheisl was transported to Mat-Su Regional hospital where he died early Monday morning.
He managed the Fairview Inn several years ago and was recently employed there as a maintenance man.
Friends describe him as an avid fisherman and hunter, and say fishing was his one big love. Good friends said that he had not been feeling well lately but had not sought medical attention.
