Stubbs the Cat has made worldwide headlines after a KTUU-tv news story profiling Talkeetna’s honorary mayor was picked up by the Associated Press.
News outlets from the big time Washington Post, CNN and NPR, all carried the story, and went with KTUU’s embellishment that locals voted for the cat as a write-in candidate after being unimpressed with human candidates. As of this writing an internet search resulted in 417 unique worldwide news items about Stubbs.
