Three individuals in Denali plane crash named

The three individuals that died in the Fairchild C-123 plane crash in Denali Park on Sunday have been identified.
Bill Michel, age 61, of Delta Junction was the owner of the company plane and was the pilot. John Eschelman, age 52, of Wasilla and Paul Quartly, age 66, also of Wasilla, were on board. The identities were determined through interviews with acquaintances, friends and relatives familiar with the plane and its intended flight on Sunday.
Investigators are now on the scene. Official identification of the deceased will be made by the state medical examiner by forensic examination. The National Transportation Safety Board is now in charge of the crash investigation.
