In today’s program, Keith and Holly talk about this year’s flu vaccine, the recent outbreak of the viral hand, foot, and mouth disease in local youth…(and adults). He tells how to identify this self-limiting virus on your body, and potential complications, as well as how to deal with it.
From there, he talks about how it’s difficult to tell whether an illness is caused by bacteria (and therefore treated with an antibiotic), or a virus (and therefore letting our immune system take care of it), and who might want to see a health provider rather than trying to make the determination themselves.
