A Trapper Creek man has been charged with attempted murder and a long list of other felony and misdemeanor offenses in connection with a hit and run incident during the Trapper Creek Bluegrass Festival.
Forty-eight- year old Rodney Humphrey is accused of having run over a sleeping Texas man with his Ford Ranger truck during the festival on August 22. The victim, 25- year old Aaron Dorfman, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to Trooper reports, Humphrey was drunk, resisted arrest and had no valid driver’s license.
The Palmer District Attorney reopened the case and bumped up the charges from assault in the first degree to attempted murder charges. According to Palmer court documents, a jury trial is set for November 9.
