DUMP SITE — The on-going trash problems along the Talkeetna riverfront have prompted the Borough to say they would cite the FAA for violations unless they do something about the bear hazard.
As residents in the Montana Creek area fight weekend travelers that leave trash and drive through salmon streams, some residents in East Talkeetna fight a battle at the end of F Street. For years the area has been a site for illegal camping and dumping trash as well as junk vehicles. The area is owned by the FAA and will soon have a gate and signed as government property.
