The Alaska State Troopers report at least four incidents of criminal trespassing and/or theft in the Northern Susitna Valley since the weekend.
The first incident was reported in Talkeetna on Sunday. According to troopers, there was an attempted vehicle theft shortly after midnight on Sunday near Christiansen Lake Road.
Three incidents were reported on Monday. The first, which troopers categorize as an attempted burglary, happened around 1:30 Monday morning. Troopers say a white Chevrolet pickup drove to North Star Bible Camp in Willow. One of the truck’s occupants tried entering a building on the property before being confronted by a neighbor and leaving the scene. Troopers identify the suspect as 37-year-old James Ryan Farner of Palmer.
Two cases of criminal trespassing were reported Monday night. In the Trapper Creek area, a resident was alerted to the presence of individuals on his property by security cameras. The unknown subjects got onto the property by forcing open a closed gate.
Also on Monday night, troopers responded to a residence on Old Parks Highway in Willow. In that case, an unknown subject entered the property and shot every window with a BB gun, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
Troopers are asking that anyone with information related to these cases call their office at 352-5401 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
