Troopers rescued Timothy Troyer, 52 of Spokane, WA from the north fork of the Kashwitna River Wednesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, an emergency beacon activation was reported to Wasilla MASCOM. Troopers launched Helo One, but due to poor weather, they couldn’t reach the area. A search was resumed Wednesday and the helicopter was able to retrieve Troyer. He was flown to Mat Su Regional with an unspecified medical problem.
According to the Troopers, Troyer was flown into the Kashwitna area on July 17 and was due to be picked up August 10th
