Charges have been filed against two men concerning an unregistered black bear station near Yoder Road in Talkeetna.
Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to a report of a lone black bear cub near Yoder Road. Investigation led to the discovery of an unregistered bait station with a black bear and brown bear carcass.
Charges have been filed against Scott Minor, age 43, of Eagle River, and Yukon Grubaugh, age 45 of Anchorage and Talkeetna. Minor was issued a court summons on the charges of taking a black bear over an unregistered bait station, possessing and transporting of an illegally taken black bear and providing a false statement on the sealing certificate. Grubaugh is charged with assisting Minor on all those charges as well as taking a brown bear without the required tag and providing a false statement on the sealing certificate.
