10 a.m. -The Upper Susitna Valley is currently under a winter storm warning until this evening. Reports from Skwentna estimate at least 2 feet of snow so far. Trapper Creek estimate is 8″ and Talkeetna is around 6″. However, the snow continues to fall and Alaska DOT has posted a travel warning for people traveling north of Talkeetna on the Parks Highway. Roads are reportedly snow covered and icy. Temperatures across the Upper Valley are hovering at or above freezing, meaning that the snow could turn to rain.
