The camps are focused on kids developing a deeper understanding and love for their surroundings by participating in hikes, science activities, art projects, and plenty of outdoor fun.     Denali Education Center and Jessica Stevens Community Foundation host their annual Earth Day Celebration and Nonprofit Fair on Saturday, April 18th from 11am until 3pm at Denali Education Center's Susitna Hall in Talkeetna. Featuring presentations on recycling and food waste, kids' activities and projects, and food.     Denali Education Center hosts Career Soup every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30pm through April 2nd. Career Soup is a weekly watch party of Discover What You Were Born To Do, a 12-week course written by local executive career mentor, Shannon Post. Along with the watch party, there is a potluck and conversation. This course is tailored to those who may engage better in a group setting or need support figuring out the next step.     Denali Education Center hosts local author, Christine Byl, for reading and conversation on Thursday, November 20th beginning at 7:30pm at Denali Education Center's Talkeetna Campus. She will be presenting two of her books: Lookout - her first novel, and Dirt Work: An Education in the Woods - a finalist for a Willa Award in nonfiction. Books will be available for purchase, and a portion of sales will go to disaster relief in Western Alaska.
