    Denali Education Center hosts Career Soup every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30pm through April 2nd. Career Soup is a weekly watch party of Discover What You Were Born To Do, a 12-week course written by local executive career mentor, Shannon Post. Along with the watch party, there is a potluck and conversation. This course is tailored to those who may engage better in a group setting or need support figuring out the next step. She will be presenting two of her books: Lookout - her first novel, and Dirt Work: An Education in the Woods - a finalist for a Willa Award in nonfiction. Books will be available for purchase, and a portion of sales will go to disaster relief in Western Alaska.

    Denali Education Center hosts their annual Earth Day Celebration with a non-profit and civic engagement fair on April 19th from 11am until 3pm. This event includes kids activities, a PTA Bake Sale, food, and more. Learn more on their Facebook Event Page.

    Also at Earth Day there will be Electronic Waste Collection. Computers, phones, TVs and similar will be accepted as well as small appliances, cords and cables, fluorescent bulbs, and standard household alkaline batteries. Please do NOT bring lithium, nickel, rechargeable, or lead acid batteries, ballasts, large appliances, or anything with liquid in it.
