    KTNA's Annual Decadent Dessert Auction is this week! Tune in daily as we auction off delicious, locally-crafted works of art. The live, on-air auctions are held at 2pm and 8pm Monday through Thursday. On Friday we are hosting on-air auctions at 1 pm and 2pm. Then our finale is during a Decadent Dessert skit at the Complexities of Love variety show at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday and Saturday evenings.   • Complexities of Love variety show – Denali Arts Council

    Denali Arts Council hosts their most loved variety show of the year, Complexities of Love, showcasing some of Talkeetna’s talented community members through music, performance, and artistic expression, on Friday and Saturday, February 13th and 14th at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar.   • Learn How to Wax Your Skis clinic – Denali Nordic Ski Club

    Denali Nordic Ski Club hosts a Learn How to Wax Your Skis clinic on Sunday, February 15th from 3 to 6 pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Attendees may bring skate or classic skis, one pair per person. The clinic will host 1 hour of instruction and discussion about types of skis for different uses, followed by 2 hours of participants waxing their own skis. Snacks and beverages will be provided.   • LowDown Brass Band – Denali Arts Council

    LowDown Brass Band will be performing at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Thursday, February 19th. Embodying the vibrant Chicago music culture, LowDown Brass Band is a horn ensemble weaving the rhythm of the streets with conscious hip hop, reggae, and soul. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the show starts at 7. Tickets are available at denaliartscouncil.org.

  • Stained Glass Workshop – Denali Arts Council

    Sheldon Community Arts Hangar

    Denali Arts Council hosts a stained glass workshop on Saturday, February 21st. This 6 hour workshop will be instructed by Debra Whaley, who has been a stained glass artist for 45 years. Participants will be able to choose between 5 different designs. All materials will be provided and participants will be able to take a completed stained glass project home.   • Raising Spirits Festival – Denali Arts Council

    Denali Arts Council presents their annual fundraiser, Raising Spirits, on Saturday, February 28th from 4 to 7pm. This elegant event features artisan-crafted cocktails from five Alaskan distilleries, catered food, aerial performances, and a silent auction. Proceeds raised will support the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar and the Emmila A. Denny Scholarship Fund. Tickets are available at denaliartscouncil.org.
