Denali Arts Council’s Music Academy presents a free Mother’s Day Concert with the Rhythm and Red Shoes Ensemble on Sunday, May 12th. This year will also feature the newly formed Community Choir and special vocal soloists. Doors open at 3:30 and the concert starts at 4pm.

Arctic Entries' story coaches are hosting a Youth Storytelling Workshop for elementary and middle school students on Sunday, April 28th from 10am to 1pm. Pizzas will be provided.

The theme is Breaking In, Breaking Out, and Breaking Up. Seven local storytellers tell true 7-minute stories about themselves, set to a springtime and new beginnings theme. Featuring musical guests; Larry Zarella and Danielle Aslanian. Doors open at 6:30pm, stories begin at 7pm.

Parlor is a songwriter showcase with an improv twist! This musical game show features Alaskan songwriters paired with nationally touring artists to trade tunes, stories, and songwriting homework in the first half. A youth art show as part of the Upper Susitna Youth Art Walk is on Saturday, April 13th. One entry per youth 18 years old and under allowed. All art mediums welcome. Art must be submitted by April 5th.

The Best of The B4uDie Comedy Festival returns to Talkeetna with Alaskan comedians  as well as national acts. Doors open at 7:00, jokes start at 7:30pm. This show is intended for audience members 18 and over.
