Sunshine Community Health Center Board of Directors is having their Annual Board Meeting to discuss the fiscal year 2024-2025 on Thursday, October 30th at 5PM in the Talkeetna clinic large conference room. Sunshine Community Health Center is closed from 11am until 1pm on Wednesday, September 17th for staff training. This closure effects each location, in Willow and Talkeetna. The clinics return to normal operating hours at 1pm that day. More information at (907)733-2273.

Sunshine Community Health Center hosts their 3rd annual Community Celebration on Saturday, August 9th from 10am until 3pm at the Talkeetna Clinic. This event includes a health resource fair, sports physicals and immunizations, mammograms, back to school supplies, live music, food trucks and vendors. Sunshine Community Health Center hosts an Addiction Recovery Group at the Talkeetna Clinic from 1 to 2 PM every second and fourth Thursday of the month. The next meeting is June 12th. This program is open to adults seeking support in their recovery journey, it provides education, peer support, and therapeutic tools for individuals navigating addiction. An assessment is required before joining, to schedule you may call (907) 733-9292.

Both Willow and Talkeetna Sunshine Community Health Center clinic locations are closed on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day. They remind area residents to plan ahead by calling 907-376-2273 to request prescription refills, schedule appointments, or take care of any medical needs before the holiday weekend.
