  • Take Your Child to the Library Day – Talkeetna Public Library

    The Friends of the Talkeetna Library host Take Your Child to the Library Day at the Talkeetna Public Library on Saturday, February 7th from 11am until 4pm. Kids can sign up for their own library card, learn how to use the library with a scavenger hunt, create a Valentine's craft, and do a science experiment that yields a sweet treat. Refreshments and snacks will be available. There is also be a book fair at the library through Saturday, a portion of the proceeds go to the Friends of the Talkeetna Library and towards the purchase of new material for the community. Participants will learn how to access Alaska and national newspapers, renew library items and put things on hold, and access digital and audio books and magazines for free using the Libby App. A current library card is required which can be obtained at the front desk as needed.
