  • Pressure Canner Gauge Testing

    The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service is offering Pressure Canner Gauge Testing today (Thursday, May 8th). They will be at the Talkeetna Public Library from 1 to 4pm. All are welcome to bring a pressure canner dial gauge in for a test to make sure it is accurate and functioning properly. New or unused gauges should be tested before first use. This program is aimed at improving strength, balance and flexibility for women over 40 years old. Newcomers are always welcome, weights and instructions are provided.     The Mat-Su Health Foundation is hosting a discussion group with a focus on community health needs at the Talkeetna Public Library on Tuesday, April 29th from 11:30am until 12:30pm. Discussions will include what opportunities support health and wellbeing, and what services and healthcare access are needed in your community. Pre-registration is not required, but is appreciated.
